手彫り版画を手刷りしたグルクンスカーフ70×70cmを沖縄染め作家様とコラボしました⭐︎

一つ一つ手刷りしています

赤はアカネと藍染
青と真ん中が黄色は藍染とフクギ
青単品は藍染

沖縄では特に親しまれている魚で、沖縄県の県魚にも指定されてるグルクンちゃん

「グルクン」という名前は、沖縄の方言名で【タカサゴ】と呼ばれてます

由来は

* 「グルグル回るように群れる魚」

* 群れを作る習性を表した方言由来からと言われてます

海の中で見ると青緑色をしていて、外敵に襲われたり興奮すると、体色が赤みがかったピンク色に変わるんです

一番最後に載せてる青い海、グルクンちゃんも含めて全然魚が見えず、沖縄に魚いるのかな？まで思っていましたが。魚は上手に海に溶け込むんですね笑

眠っているときや、死んでしまったときにも色が変化するらしく

色がコロコロ変わるのはタコとかカメレオンくらいしかしらなかった私にはとても魅力的な魚でした⁎ˇ◡ˇ⁎

My Gurukun scarf

I can’t wait to see it!

In Okinawa, the gurukun is a beloved fish and is also designated as Okinawa’s prefectural fish

“Gurukun” is its Okinawan name
In standard Japanese, it is called Takasa-go (タカサゴ).

The origin of the name is said to be related to:

* the way they swim around in circles as they form schools
* their habit of gathering and swimming in groups

When you see a gurukun in the ocean, it has a beautiful blue-green color.
But when it feels threatened or becomes excited, its body changes to a reddish-pink color

Apparently, its color can also change when it is resting or after it dies

Before this, I only knew of animals like octopuses and chameleons that could change their colors, so discovering this side of the gurukun made me even more fascinated by this fish

For this scarf, I’m going to have it dyed in shades of blue and
